Description:
Originally located at Bab al-Kalabsha, the Kalabsha Temple is an Ancient Egyptian temple dedicated to Nubian god. Also called as Temple of Mandulis, it was later moved to its current location to the island now called New Kalabsha, just south of the Aswan High Dam. Built in traditional Egyptian style and constructed from sandstone blocks, it features an open court, Ptolemaic columns and screen walls leading to the hypostyle hall. Explore the scenes of rituals depicting Min, Khnum and other gods of Southern Egypt on the walls of the hypostyle hall and graffiti of Saint George fighting the dragon on his horse on the screen walls.
