Located within the Cairo Citadel, the Military Museum records the history of the Egyptian army forces from Pharaonic times to present day, featuring ceremonial equipment and costumes, and scale models of several of Egypt's most important battles. It contains a significant collection of weapons and costumes illustrating warfare in Egypt from ancient times. This museum occupies what was once Muhammad Ali's harem palace, making the building somewhat interesting.
