This museum holds a beautifully maintained collection of stamps, uniforms, artifacts, pictures and documents, as well as tiny scale models of great post offices throughout Egypt. Located in the main Post Office Building overlooking Ataba Square, this wonderful museum not only chronicles the history of the Egyptian post, but also the postal traditions from all over the world. It has more than 1,200 exhibits in ten different sections. The pharaonic exhibits are by far some of the most interesting on display, and the 19th century artifacts as well.
