Located in Foreshore area, Artscape Theatre Centre is the main performing arts centre in Cape Town. This imposing building has been the part of Cape Town’s skyline since 1971. It was formerly known as the Nico Malan Theatre and was renamed as the Artscape Theatre in 2001. This complex includes an Opera House with seating capacity of 1,487 people, a theatre and an Arena Theatre. In addition, the Artscape Theatre also features a full-service restaurant and bar.
