Based in the heart of City Bowl, De Waal Park is a community park originally noted for wide variety of trees. Built in 1985 by then mayor David Christiaan de Waal, the park offers a peaceful, relaxing environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park has now become popular for social interaction between dogs, owners and children. Children can play on the swings and round-a-bouts, dogs can enjoy playing in the pond while owners can stroll or relax on the grassy areas.
