Description:

Built between 1666 and 1679, the Castle of Good Hope is the oldest surviving building in South Africa. It was built by Jan van Riebeeck and the Dutch East India Company . The building’s décor has been restored and today it houses the Castle Military Museum. The William Fehr Collection consisting of paintings and decorative arts is also housed partly in the Castle of Good Hope.
