Just north-east of Guomao station along the Third Ring Road is this beautiful and unique tower by Dutch architects Rem Koolhaas and Ole Scheeren, housing China Central Television Station. A New Year's firework accident in 2009 burnt down the adjacent Mandarin Oriental Hotel building.
