The best place to spot birds is at the Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary on the island of Chorao and can be easily accessed from Panaji. This is the only bird sanctuary in Goa, spread in 1.8 Sq Km in area. The sanctuary has colorful migratory and resident birds and it is a habitat for plankton, prawns, shrimps and small Fish.
