The Irian Jaya Liberation Monument is erected in front of Treasury Building. As the name suggests, Irian Jaya Liberation Monument commemorates the freedom of Irian Jaya from Dutch occupation in 1963. The statue symbolizes a man with broken chain and raising his hands expressing the freedom.
