Museum of Independence Proclamation Drafting was built during the development of Menteng areas in 1930-40s. During Japanese occupation, the building was the residence of Tadashi Maeda who was the Japanese Admiral. The building features 4 historical rooms that became the witness for the independence of Indonesia.  Visitors can also find a bunker from World War II, in the backyard of the museum and feel to stay inside it.
