Istana Bogor is a palace which was built by Governor-General Baron in 1745. Its main building and two wings cover about 14,800 square meters. This palace was used as a peaceful retreat by Indonesia’s first president known as Soekarno. The palace today houses his art collection which includes paintings and ceramic statues.
