Kiyosumi Garden is a Japanese stroll garden located in Fukagawa which is said to be the site of residence of the famous Edo era merchant, Kinokuniya Bunzaemon. In 1878, the founder of Mitsubishi, Iwasaki Yataro acquired the land and opened it as a garden in 1880 under the name 'Fukagawa Shimbokuen'. Hills and waterless waterfalls were built and massive rocks from all over Japan were brought in. Flowers such as azaleas and iris blossom in the garden.
