Opened in 1935, the Ipoh Railway Station is affectionately called as Taj Mahal of Ipoh by locals. Constructed by Arthur Benison Hubback, it resembles Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. It is the main railway terminal for Perak. It has been a favorite site for the movies of various local and foreign productions, including Anna and the King.
