Established as the first national park of Malaysia in 1964, Kinabalu Park is based on the west coast of Sabah and is designated as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The parks boasts diverse flora including around 4,500 species of plants, 1200 types of orchids, 290 known species of butterflies and 326 types of birds.
