Also known as Buddhist Maha Vihara, it is one of the few places in Malaysia where the Theravada Buddhist tradition is worshiped. Founded by the Sinhalese community based in Kuala Lumpur, it is also called as Brickfields Buddhist Temple. Being administered by Sasana Abhiwurdhi Wardhana Society, there are several other organizations which organize the religious activities here.
