This beautiful square around Christ Church and the Stadhuys, in the center of the town is referred to as 'Red Square' because of its Dutch-inspired red buildings. The Dutch Square is truly one of the most picturesque landmarks of the city, and a clear testimony of Dutch masonry and architectural skills. Also within the square is Queen Victoria's fountain, and next to fountain is the beautiful Malacca Clock Tower.
