Description:
Commissioned by the Dutch in 1728, Masjid Kampung Hulu is one of the oldest functioning mosques in Malaysia, and its architectural design is a cross between Sumatran, Chinese, Hindu and the Melaka Malay. Like other mosques in Malacca, Chinese ornamentation is reflected in the Masjid Kampung Hulu, including the crown like pinnacle surmounting the roofs and the curved eaves.
