The founder of modern Singapore, Sir Stamford Raffles has two two statues in his memory. The original one that is cast in dark bronze stands in front of Victoria Theatre and its replica made of pure white polymarble stands at North Boat Quay, at an area colloquially known as Raffles Landing Site.
