Established in 1878, Burmese Buddhist Temple is the only Burmese Buddhist temple of its kind in Singapore. Burmese Buddhist Temple has been declared as a National Heritage Site of Singapore. It features a marble Buddha image which weighs ten tons and stands eleven feet high. This sculpture was completed in 1918 in Mandalay and was brought to Singapore in 1921. The temple is also used to host various festivals like Water Festival.
