The Pulmuone Kimchi Museum was established in 1986 to study the culture of kimchi to promote kimchi inside and outside of Korea. Kimchi is a very popular and traditional Korean dish made from fermented vegetables and spices. Exhibitions here focus exclusively on the history of kimchi, its varieties and its importance to Korean culture and cuisine. Visitors get to learn about the history and origin of kimchi through historical books, paintings and writings. Also on the displays are the various styles of kimchi and the ingredients used.
