Being a wonderfully preserved Japanese temple it is located across Wenquan Road in the district of Beitou. It is small yet charming Buddhist temple dedicated to the guardian spirit of hot springs. Being a national historic site, it is one of the few Japanese-era temples surviving in the nation and there are Japanese style worshipping ceremonies still carried out in the museum.
