Built in 1956, Erawan Shrine is a Hindu shrine which attracts more visitors than many of Bangkok’s temples. It often organizes performances by resident Thai dance troupes which are hired by worshippers. Most of the visitors make ceremonial offerings in the hope that their swishes will be fulfilled.
