Being one of the best preserved examples of Eastern Roman theatre architecture, Aspendos Theatre is the only example of ancient Roman architecture in Turkey. Providing seating for around 7,000 people the theatre has a diameter of 96 meters, making it a huge performance space of that age. Built by a Greek architect Zenon, it was still in use for cultural events and performances; however, due to some damage all the further shows are canceled.
