Description:
The Eyüp Sultan Mosque was constructed in 1458 by Mehmet the Conqueror. It's a sacred site for Moslems and also one of the world's most sacred places. Hz.Eyübbi El-Ensari, who was one of first people accepting Islam, was buried in the area of the complex, which resulted in the creation of a mausoleum. This mausoleum is visited by the throngs of people on Fridays and religious holidays. The flocks of pigeons, old trees and the religious people create a beautiful atmosphere around Eyüp Sultan Mosque.
