Türk Vakıf Hat Sanatları Müzesi, housed in Beyazit Medresesi, is dedicated to the calligraphic art and was started in order to increase knowledge of the public and exhibit the works. Popular by the name 'Pool Madrasa' in ancient period, the museum currently is home to Qurans written in different scripts like muhakkak, nesih, and küfiv; handwritten manuscripts; sacred relics like Sakallı-I Sharif, Holy Kabe cover and soil brought from grave of the Prophet Mohammed. Calligraphic arts belong to the Sultans of Ottoman that are featured in the museum and so, it is also known as the Turkish Museum of Calligraphy.
