Founded in 1976 by Ronald Berndt and Catherine Berndt, the Berndt Museum was established to house lifelong collections of both the founders as anthropologists. Formerly called as Anthropology Research Museum, it was named after its founders in 1992. One of the finest collections of Aboriginal arts is housed by the museum and there are over 11,500 objects and 32,000 photographs preserved here.
