City: Sydney

One of the most notable landmarks in the Kings Cross is a fountain at the entrance to the Fitzroy Gardens. It is a war memorial commissioned as a tribute to the soldiers who died in 1942 during the World War II in two battles at El Alamein, and designed by the Australian-born architect Robert Woodward.
