The Arts Centre of Christchurch, housed in the Gothic Revival buildings of the University of Canterbury, is a hub for arts, crafts and entertainment. This is probably one of the most significant heritage buildings in New Zealand, which houses offices for several arts administrative organizations such as Creative NZ, Christchurch Arts Festival and South Island Art Projects. Notable attractions of the museum include the craft studios and galleries situated on the site. The Museum's beautiful green spaces and historic buildings provide a perfect setting for enjoying an outstanding blend of attractions. The Museum is currently closed following the Canterbury earthquake in 2011.
