Pangea Guides

This is the oldest public museum in Latvia and one of the oldest in Europe, the origin of which dates back to 1773. At the heart of this museum is the personal collection of the Riga doctor Nikolas von Himzel's scientific and artistic exhibits, which was donated by his mother after his death, as per his wishes. One can witness a unique historical legacy in the exhibitions, including ancient Latvian ornaments, tools and weapons, a 13th-century Riga Ship, the sword of the Riga executioner, the MINOX - world's smallest photo camera, and much more.
