The medieval Astronomical Clock adorns the southern wall of the Old Town City Hall in the Old Town Square. It is also one of the most popular gathering places in Prague. The mail dial is in principle mechanical astrolabe, showing not only the current time, but also the placement of Sun and Moon in Zodiac, phase of the moon, time of sunrise and sunset, length of astronomical night, time in old Bohemian hours, in unequal hours and other data. For the last 600 years, the clock has been one of the greatest treasures of the city, and still amazes people with its visualization of time like no other instrument in the world.
