Being the oldest museum in France, African Museum is dedicated to Africa, as its name suggests. Established in 1861, collection of the museum specializes in West African artworks. The museum features a permanent collection of 2,126 African objects fundamentally divided into three categories namely: everyday life, social life and religious life.  Likewise, there is also a temporary exhibition area reserved in the museum.
