City: Berlin
Description:

DDR Museum is one of the most interactive museums in the world and one of the most visited in Berlin, and a great facility where history is told in a most lively, interactive and hands-on fashion. Located in the former governmental district of East Germany, opposite the Berlin Cathedral, this unique museum concentrates on everyday life in the GDR and teaches us about daily life behind the Iron Curtain. It is probably the only museum that deals with life in the former German Democratic Republic, and at the same time allowing its visitors to take part in the exhibits and to look behind drawers and doors. With more than 500,000 visitors every year it is one of Germany's most visited time historical museums.
