Haus des Rundfunks is the oldest self-contained broadcasting house in the world. It was opened in 1929 after winning an architectural competition and designed by Hans Poelzig. The first regular TV program was broadcast from here in the 1930s. It is also the oldest self-contained broadcasting house in the world.
