The Neue Synagoge was built between 1859 and 1866 designed by Eduard Knoblauch. It was the main synagogue of the Berlin Jewish community, on Oranienburger Straße. The Neue Synagoge is one of the few synagoge to survive Kristallnacht which was badly damaged during the World War ll.
