The Benrath Palace is one of the greatest baroque castles in Germany, which was originally built as a summer residence and hunting lodge for the Elector Carl Theodor. It is an outstanding work of art that unites architecture and nature in one overlapping concept. Today, the ensemble with its artistic buildings, magnificent interiors and 60-hectare gardens is regarded as one of the rare examples of the late rococo period.
