City: Hamburg
Description:

Designed in the style of English landscape parks of the 18th century, the Jenischpark is based near the Elbe. Previously maintained by the Hamburg Senator Martin Johann Jenisch and his family, the park offers relaxing space to the visitors. With rolling meadows, chestnut trees, old maple, oak trees and a small stream, the park has become a natural retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Visitors can also visit the Jenisch House and Ernst-Barlach-Museum based in the park that reveal the life of Jenisch family and the art of 18th century.
