Platz der Opfer des Nationalsozialismus (Square of the Victims of the Shoa) (U-Bahn U3, U4, U5, U6: Odeonsplatz). The northern tip of Maximilianplatz is dedicated to the victims of the holocaust since 1946. During the Third Reich era the Gestapo had its headquarter across the street. Today an eternal flame burns in the center of this otherwise understated square.
