Description:

Opened to the public in 1869, the museum houses extensive collections of sacred art from ancient Florence, it is considered to be one of the top museums in town. Large collections of 16th century paintings is featured in the museum with each having significance of its own. The museum is renowned for its wall paintings done by Beato Angelico, in the 400's. There are also other interesting examples of paintings done in the 16th centry as well.
