The Civic Archaeological Museum of Milan is located in one of the most intact and rich archaeological deposits of the city and includes the Archaeological Museum, the Egyptian Museum and the Museum of Prehistory and Early History. The buildings of the museum are as interesting as the collections within that include artifacts from the Mediolanum settlement, Greek and Etruscan bronzes and pottery, ancient coins and many more. One section of the museum is completely dedicated to the Roman period in Milan. The museum also holds an extensive collection of Buddhist art from the ancient kingdom of Gandhara.
