The Casal Rotondo is the biggest mausoleum on the Appian Way, at about the sixth mile. Today, it incorporates a small private villa. It is not known for whom it was built. Moreover name of this tomb comes from its round shape and a casale (farmhouse) was erected on the top during the middle ages.
