Opened in 1932, the Museo Civico di Zoologia is a natural history museum which contains more than five million animal species. It has collections of malacology, ornithology, herpetology, osteology, mammalology, entomology and ichthyology. The museum has specimens of endangered animals like European lynx, migratory doves and Galapagos tortoises. Museo Civico di Zoologia also offers people various other activities like guided tours, educational workshops, conferences, films, artistic events and more.
