Opened in 1958, the Museo delle Cere or Wax Museum contains a large collection of popular Italian and foreign figures. The museum was founded by Fernando Canini who was inspired by the Wax Museums in Paris and London. The museum has a collection of historical figures, artists, politicians, poets, musicians, scientists and more. Some of the popular figures you can see here include Michelangelo Buonarroti, Giacomo Leopardi, Leonardo Da Vinci, Giuseppe Garibaldi, King Vittorio Emanuele II and Dante Alighieri, Hitler and Picasso.
