Founded in 1889, the Natioanl Museum of Rome is a set of museums in Rome. The archaeological collections of the museum are housed in four different facilities such as Crypta Balbi, Palazzo Massimo alle Terme, Palazzo Altemps and Baths of Diocletian. The original seat of the museum is Baths of Diocletian. The epigraphic section in the museum is displayed in three floors. It has important sculpture from the imperial age, such as sarcophagi, statues and various other elements.
