Terme di Caracalla is located at Viale delle Terme di Caracalla. It was inaugurated in 217 A.D. and used until the sixth century. The baths were big enough for 1600 bathers at a time. Yet, impressive and well-preserved, moreover used for operas in summer months and was the location for the famous "three tenors" concert in July 1990, at the time of the World Cup (soccer). It remains open from 09.00 until one hour before sunset and entry costs €6.00 for the Appian Way ticket which also permits access to the tomb of Cecilia Metella and the Villa dei Quintili.
