City: Venice
Description:

Originally, the residence of the San Stae branch of the Mocenigo family, one of the most prestigious families of the Venetian nobility, the Palazzo Mocenigo is now a museum of fabrics and costumes, mainly from the Correr, Guggenheim and Cini collections. The museum also houses a library on the first floor specializing in the history of costumes, fabrics and fashion, especially from the 18th century. Around the walls are paintings of notable members of the Mocenigo family, along with public figures like Charles II of England.

The museum is currently closed on the occasion of the planned restyling. Reopening scheduled for May 2013.
