City: Amsterdam
Description:

De Otter was built in 1631 opposite Buyskade, west of the Jordaan. It is a restored and functioning sawmill. This windmill was one of many wood sawing mills in this area, which has supported the mass production of big ships during the seventeenth century, facilitating Holland to expand into a commanding commercial country.
