EYE Film Institute Netherlands is located at IJpromenade 1. It also includes a cinematography museum in earlier times and was known as the Film Museum, established in 1952. Predecessor of the EYE Film Institute Netherlands was the Dutch Historic Film Archive, established in 1946. It was publicly started on April 4, 2012 by Queen Beatrix. It remains open on Sunday - Thursday from 10:00 to 22:00, Friday - Saturday 10:00 to 23:00.
