Dedicated to the Jewish history, culture and religion, Joods Historisch Museum is the only museum in Netherlands which is dedicated to Jewish history. The museum has received Council of Europe Museum Prize for its inner exhibitions as well as outward appearance. Located in four historical Ashkenazi synagogues in centre of Amsterdam, the museum was open to public in February 1932.
