Being one of the most famous and oldest museums in Amsterdam, the museum conceals a secret Catholic Church called as Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder in Dutch. The hidden church was built during the time of Reformation when Dutch people were banished from holding public services. Apart from the church which dates back to 1663, the museum houses heave Dutch furniture, two kitchens and also table clocks. The museum originated in year 1888 and now houses church silver and various religious objects as well as paintings.
