Known as Het Scheepvaartmuseum in Dutch, the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam depicts the extensive history of maritime. Located near city old harbor, the museum is housed in a former naval storehouse and houses numerous artifacts related to shipping and sailing. Apart from that, the other artworks featured in the museum are paintings related to maritime, scale models, weapons and world maps. The museum also houses a restaurant, library and museum shop.
